What is CMF?

CMF is a cultural and family celebration with a caribean twist. Our goal is for Carib Music Fest to be an annual arrangement. After establishing the name and the arrangement we want to move it to a beach area outside Stavange, as a family arrangement lasting for a couple of days.Various cultural Caribbean elements such as music, art, dance, food and drinks will be represented.

Artists from the Caribbean in addition to local and European will be invited to perform. The focus will be musical styles like reggae, salsa, dancehall and steel drums. We want Carib Music Fest to bring our region / surroundings a valuable family friendly alternative to all the rock and pop arrangements that exist today.

Carib Music Fest Easter Gathering

On the seventh of april, in the middle of easter, Carib Music Fest arranged a rhythmic party at Sting. Artists included Grønn Tê, Sally Slam Poetress, Atlars and guesting vocalists from as far away as Finn Island. Carib Crew Dj’s kept the crowd on the dancefloor in between live performances. The house was filled with a happy, participating crowd.. We are very pleased with the number of people turning out for our “in between the summer festival highlight” evenings.
It seems that Grønn Tê will join the artists from abroad in the coming summer fest at Folken. As response to this newly formed group was warm and enthusiastic,we are pretty sure this will further heighten this qualitystudded venue.
As for our in between evenings, next time, BE THERE OR BE SQUARE! Seey’all.

Carib Music Fest at Tou Scene

A relaxed atmosphere was covering TOU Scene this Saturday. You could chill out in the hammock, while having a beer and watch "the history of roots music" on a large screen, hang out in the bar or get entertained by dancers from UiS, the salsa band Montuno, slampoetry by AtLars, backed by Karim's great rythms, and these 2 together with local heroes "the Coffeebreaks" closed the stage performance. After that dj cru Vaaland Rockers played their records and it was hard to stand still this "hot" evening in cold february.
